RAM Cellars

2020 Riesling

A crisp, delightful dry Riesling produced with grapes from Washington's Columbia Valley.

About this wine

What a wild year 2020 was, friends. After losing fruit due to damage from the wildfires in September, we had to quickly pivot and source alternate grapes to make our orange wine a reality this year. We were lucky enough to work with South Hill Vineyards in the Columbia Gorge, to to source Riesling, most of which was allocated to our Le Belier Orange. A very small amount ended up going into this wine, our 2020 dry Riesling. This is our first white wine ever produced from Washington grapes and is also the first wine released which reflects the collaborate efforts of Viv, Aidan, and Bex working together on all things from harvest 2020. The beautiful label art was provided by the talented Kiana Kuwamoto. Our 2020 dry Riesling brings essence of lime zest, honeydew melon, and flint to the glass. Pale gold in color and light and bright in the glass, honeysuckle and grapefruit are evident on the nose. This wine is crisp and dry to the finish line, it’s long, elegant finish reminiscent of fresh grapefruit. Pairs well with spicy Pad Thai, curries, smoked fish, pork belly, and picked vegetables, as well as family and friends. South Hill Vineyards Columbia Valley, Washington 8 cases produced
