RAM Cellars

2015 VIV Malbec

Our decadent VIV Label Malbec, produced from grapes from Washington State's Columbia River Gorge and aged 37 months in neutral french oak.

About this wine

Viv, a French root word which means “to live / to be alive” also happens to be shorthand for our winemaker’s name, who, in her own words has this to say about the project: “Having the courage to follow my truth, and moving forward as myself means that I’ll be around for a long time to come. To be alive, indeed. And that I’ll be around for a long time to come means that there’s more time to do good, meaningful things. $5 from the sale of every bottle of this VIV label wine will be donated to the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund - a cause both incredibly personal and incredibly important to me - in an effort to do just that.” -Vivianne Kennedy, Winemaker 'The Perfect Velvet Dress' (per Ashley McClellan), Aromas of  plum, mission fig, & underripe raspberries give way to fresh pluot, strawberry hard candy, and plum jam. Bold yet smooth, with well balanced tannins and a hint of brown sugar and butterscotch down the stretch. Alder Ridge Vineyard, Columbia Valley, Washington State 25 Cases Produced
