2019 Pinot Noir - Pommard Clone

About this wine

Originally thought to be a "suitcase clone" smuggled into the country from France in the mid-20th century, the Pommard clone Pinot Noir has been integral to the California Pinot Noir program since its widespread planting in the 1960's and 1970's. Perhaps overshadowed since the introduction of the Dijon clones in more recent times, we feel that our Pommard vines still hold a certain level of distinction and notoriety in the vineyard. Our Pommard Pinot Noir beautifully showcases this particular clone on its own. A true representation or our terroir, this wine is a dualistic balance of rugged, meaty dark fruit and velvety elegance. Feel free to pair this with fireside chats, pork belly, pizza, laughter with loved ones, and beef bourguignon. FREE SHIPPING AFTER ANY 12 BOTTLE PURCHASE. Ricci Vineyards | Carneros

At Ricci Vineyards we are farmers first and foremost, but when it comes to the wine-side of things, Tyler steers the ship so to speak. If you happen to contact us regarding any of our wines, Tyler is the dude you'll be dealing with. In the rare event that he's not, it's probably because he is preoccupied with lathering sunscreen on his fair-skinned, chiseled body.
