Love Notes and High Praise

An absolutely brilliant wine! The Belong Wine Co Mourvedre is an outstanding fresh, crunchy, and slightly savory wine. Bright cherries and blackberries up front, letting loose with some whole cluster herbal notes on the finish. An excellent wine to bring to a BBQ, or Braai!

Meet the Winemaker

Bertus and Alli van Zyl

Owners and Winemakers

Belong Wine Co.

They grew up on opposite ends of the globe - Bertus in Cape Town, South Africa and Alli in the Bay Area sugar hamlet of Crockett. They met in 2010 during Bertus’ first harvest in Napa. It would be another year before they went on their first date to Bouchon in Yountville. Bertus swept Alli off her feet with his southern charm. A shared bottle of 2008 Domaine Tempier sparked their love of Mourvèdre. In 2017 they started Belong Wine Co. with 1 ton of fruit and a whole lot of gumption. Their goal is to produce wines with a clear sense of place, with freshness and complexity. Serious wines made by people who don't take themselves too seriously.
