Darcie Kent Vineyards

2016 Choreography

About this wine

If the history of our Choreography blend was a dance, the 2016 vintage of Choreography marks a transition movement. Previously, Merlot was the dominant varietal, but in 2016, Cabernet Franc takes center stage. In future years, the emphasis will shift to Cabernet Sauvignon as our youngest vineyards emerge from the wings. Constituting 40% of the blend, Cabernet Franc’s fresh red fruit flavors and Pinot-like earthiness are very apparent. On the nose, you’ll find notes of fresh cranberry, cherry compote and dark chocolate. The wine’s maturation in 100% French Oak developed sweet baking spice notes. On the palate, its velvety body, spicy tannins and bone dry acidity lead into earthy flavors, with a dried cherry finish. Cellar through 2027. FREE SHIPPING AFTER ANY 3 BOTTLE PURCHASE.
