Teutonic Wine Company

Rosé - 100% Pinot Noir

Rosé

About this wine

Rosé wines can sometimes be made as an afterthought for wineries. Sometimes it's saignéed, which is when the run-off juice gets captured when destemming red grapes. So basically that means it's made with watery red juice. Why am I telling you this? Because we don't saignée to make our Rosé, we use the best Pinot Noir grapes, crush them and then macerate for 24 hours on the skins, to give it that perfect pink color. Is a Rosé more of a white wine or a red wine? That's what makes it interesting- it drinks like a white wine with red wine characteristics. Our 2019 Rosé vintage is on the drier side with refreshing acidity and light fruit notes like white strawberry, raspberry and a touch of quince!
